Treata Scholars is presented as an independent Publishing & Research Platform. Public pages should identify publisher and journal responsibilities accurately and should not imply institutional ownership, society affiliation, accreditation, indexing, or membership that has not been verified.
Ownership and governance
Publisher-level governance defines central publishing standards, policy ownership, transparency expectations, and escalation routes. Journal-level editorial leadership remains responsible for scientific editorial decisions within that framework.
Editorial independence
Revenue, sponsorship, advertising, ownership interests, or institutional relationships must not improperly determine individual acceptance, rejection, correction, or retraction decisions. Conflicts should be managed through disclosure, recusal, or independent handling where appropriate.
Revenue, fees and advertising
Author-facing charges must be stated at journal level when they actually apply. Waivers, discounts, sponsorship, and advertising arrangements should be represented accurately. Treata does not assume that all journals charge APCs or that all journals are fee-free.
Open access, copyright and licensing
Access model, copyright arrangement, license, repository-sharing terms, and author rights are journal or article-level configurations. They should be displayed according to the arrangement actually adopted rather than inferred from the publisher brand.
Archiving and continuity
Published scholarship should be preserved through verified technical and organizational arrangements. DOI, preservation-network, repository, or indexing participation should be claimed only when the relevant arrangement has been established.
Complaints, appeals and integrity
Treata provides publisher policies for appeals, complaints, research misconduct, corrections, expressions of concern, and retractions. These processes are intended to protect fairness and the scholarly record rather than to function as reputational or commercial tools.
Contact and verification
Official contact routes should be published only after they are operational and monitored. Until a dedicated mailbox or service is confirmed, the website should avoid displaying an unverified address as an active support channel.
